여기서 publish를 했다는 것이 인터넷 상으로 한 것이란 뜻인지 print out 해서 읽게 나누어주었다는 뜻인지 아니면 ...

신문을 publish했다는 얘기니까 기존 신문에 article을 출고한 의미는 아닌 것 같습니다.

 

이것이 원어민들 사이에 소통되는 영어 단어들의 통념들이 있기 때문에

사전적 의미로 해석해서는 잘 모를 말들이 많습니다.

여기도 아마 그런 경우일 것 같습니다.

 

하나님께서 이 글을 읽고 이 글에 대한 theme을 적어보라 하시니 같이 읽어보는 것이 우선인 것 같아 올려 읽어보려 합니다.

   keep afloat하면 계속 뜨게 유지하다니까 살려내고 있다는 뜻이 될 것이구요

아무튼 신문을 신문답게 하는 속성을 candor, irreverence, willingness to offend라고 본 것일까요?

 

nonetheless in short supply란 얘기는 보급이 부족한 즉 찾아보기 힘든 이란 뜻이 됩니다.

 

이 onion이라는 신문은 fake news임에도 불구하고 참된 뉴스를 참신한 방법으로 보도하고 있다고 얘기하는 것 같습니다.
